Airports and Transportation
Airports
Santa Rosa, Oakland & San Francisco

When possible I can't stress enough the convenience of flying directly into Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport (STS). You will avoid having to deal with San Francisco and Oakland traffic and having to deal with paying the tolls to cross the bridges (I will cover this later).

Another benefit of flying into STS is that Alaska Airlines has a Wine Fly Free program.

Recently the airport was call a Bougie airport as it joined forces with Petaluma’s Canteen Meats to offer travelers a unique culinary experience: a vending machine that dispenses meat, cheese and other charcuterie board items.

The other two main airport options are Oakland and San Francisco. Oakland is a much smaller airport than San Francisco but doesn't have the depth of options. The main airline servicing Oakland is Southwest.

San Francisco is the regions main airport. It is serviced by all the major airlines and most of the discount airlines. San Francisco will also be the most likely option for anyone traveling internationally.
